INK ON PAPER

I drew "Big Bang Boom" after realizing how people come into our lives. I've learned that my art not only heals me but also connects me with kind, like-minded individuals. This epiphany felt like a cosmic shift, much like the Big Bang, where the Universe expanded from a dense state into its current form. I created this piece to remind myself of this beautiful phenomenon and the continuous expansion in our lives.

MURAL

I was invited to paint a wall welcoming artists to a more affordable neighborhood near Wynwood. Inspired by the Big Bang metaphor, I scaled up my drawing for stencils but ultimately decided to go freehand. This allowed for more improvisation and creativity. I received invaluable help from visionary artist Brian Lahr, my high school friend Jodi Goldman Weinman, and my wife, Samara.

PRINT

On my flight home from Miami, I experimented with the original drawing in Photoshop and loved the results. I realized that creating prints of "Big Bang Boom" was a great way to share the idea of "people exploding into your life." Upon landing in New York, I called master printer Stephen Gross and collaborated with him in his Brooklyn studio for a few weeks. This led to the release of three versions of "Big Bang Boom" as a collector’s series.
